You Can Bottlefeed a Kangaroo…Yes, You!

If you have been keeping up with the Busch Gardens Tampa blog, you should now know that you can feed the kangaroos in Walkabout-Way at Kangaloom, but did you know that at 11:15am you can feed a kangaroo a bottle of apple juice?

How do I Get to Feed a Kangaroo?

The staff at Kangaloom sells 10 bottles to 10 lucky guests for $10, so arrive early to get a chance at this opportunity. Once you pay for your bottle you will receive a receipt with your bottle number on it. Then, the zoo keepers will hand you the bottle and call over one of their hopping Australian friends.

Can I Take Photos?

Yes! The bottle feeding can go quickly, so make sure to have your cameras ready to get plenty of great pictures. If you don’t have a camera on hand, don’t fret, they have helpful photographers to document your interesting experience of feeding the kangaroos and you are welcome to preview and buy the pictures before you leave Kangaloom, in the Tuckerbox area.

And, If You Miss the Morning Feeding Time...Not to Worry!

Kangaroo food is available for guests to feed the animals -- this costs $5. As an insider tip, the kangaroos are more likely to be hungry and active in the morning time. Kangaroo food is sold throughout the day -- you can still stop by anytime that day to have this unique experience.

Even if you do not desire to feed the kangaroos, you may visit Kangaloom -- it is free (no additional admission!) to walk around and check out all of the different species.

There are Red Kangaroos, Western and Eastern Gray Kangaroos, Wallabies, and Wallaroos. After you see them up close, you can test your knowledge using this fun quiz by another BG Blogger, Amber.

Become our fan on Facebook -- Psst... there might be a cool Facebook check-in deal coming soon for FREE feedings!
