Physics Day has been part of Busch Gardens for over a decade. Some Busch Gardens Education Staff members remember coming to Physics Day- as middle school students almost 20 years ago!
Now they find themselves in the unique position of reliving that experience from a different perspective- by sharing hands-on experiments with the newest generation of physicists.

Physics Day at Busch Gardens has come a long way from its humble beginnings. This year’s event will feature:
- Early admission for Physics Day Students (A WHOLE HOUR of coaster time before the park opens to guests!)
- Physics in Motion Show at the Timbuktu Theater
- Five Interactive Stations (From Animal Biomechanics to Magnetic Brake Systems to Non-Newtonian Fluid, these stations are a BLAST!)

Dr. Wright, the host of Physics in Motion, makes child’s play of complex physics concepts!
But what if you’re ready to kick it up a notch? What if Physics DAY just isn’t enough?!?
Welcome to our Physics Day Sleepover! Offered the night of the event (March 22), this sleepover is a fantastic (and affordable) way to get even MORE out of your Busch Gardens’ Physics Day.
Groups attending the sleepover will check-in at 5:30, get changed into their complimentary Busch Gardens Camp T-shirts, grab a snack and a water bottle, and follow their Busch Gardens Educator for exclusive behind-the-scenes tours at two of the park’s major coasters.

These tours are led by the experts on the rides themselves, and after the tour is complete, your students will get to ride the coasters that they now have a unique understanding of over and over again!

After being turned around, around, and upside down, it’s time for pizza dinner complete with chips, fruit, vegetable tray, drinks, and cookies. Then it’s time for movies where your feature film is all about the mechanics of roller coasters. If your students STILL have energy left, they won’t for long! You’ll be heading off to Treetop Trails, an all-ages multi-level climbing area open just to attendees of our Physics Day Sleepover.

Once they’re all worn out, your group will head to a secure on-site sleeping facility where they’ll set-up their gear and get some rest for the next day. Educators & Health Services Staff stay overnight with the kids, chaperones, and teachers, so you always have an expert on –hand.

The morning brings wake-up, pack-up, and hot breakfast to begin your day!
(Pssst…teachers: Wish you could go to a sleepover without your students?)
Guess what? You can! Check out Educators After Dark
Can’t make it in March? Come to the winter edition of Physics Day (and accompanying sleepovers) in December!
