May is a very exciting month here at Busch Gardens! The weather is great and the entire park is gearing up for the fun of Summer Nights.
There’s a very special place called the Children’s Cancer Center, whose goal is to help families in the Tampa Bay area cope with their child’s diagnosis of cancer or blood disorder.

On one of your many visits to Busch Gardens, you’ve probably toured through an animal area to see some kind of object on habitat that you weren’t expecting and wondered “What IS that?”. Chances are, what you saw was enrichment.
A few weeks ago, guests had the unique opportunity to watch through floor-to-ceiling glass walls at the Animal Care Center as Veterinarian Dr. Pete Black performed an endoscopic exam on a female Grevy’s zebra. -- AND we want to share a few photos from the exam with you!
The Animal Care Center has been busy over the past few weeks. From treating a venomous timber rattlesnake to performing a pre-shipment exam on a cheetah and everything in between, Busch Gardens’ more than 2,000 animals have kept our veterinary team on their toes.
A Plethora of Pachyderms
Tina, Simba, Rosie, Carina and Karnaudi are not the names of the newest, coolest female pop group but of the Asian elephants that live here at Busch Gardens. You can find the Elephant habitat across from our newly built Animal Care Center in the Nairobi area of Busch Gardens.

It was an exciting morning recently in the Animal Care Center when our vets examined a canebrake rattlesnake.
