Three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at Busch Gardens Tampa Sunday, March 31. The litter consists of two males and one female.

Each cub weighs between six and seven pounds, and is currently being monitored around the clock by the park’s animal care team.

Over the last few years, my fellow tiger keepers and I have had the pleasure of watching a bit of a romance unfold within one of our tiger social groups. Mr. King, our large, white male tiger, hopes that he won’t have to spend another Valentine’s Day alone.

Why are some tigers white, while the majority of them are orange?
