Physics Day has been part of Busch Gardens for over a decade. Some Busch Gardens Education Staff members remember coming to Physics Day- as middle school students almost 20 years ago!

Now they find themselves in the unique position of reliving that experience from a different perspective- by sharing hands-on experiments with the newest generation of physicists.

This powerful pairing enables students to explore the principles of physics firsthand while attending Physics Day. At this event, large scale demonstrations and interactive stations allow students to discover that fun and physics really can collide.

This January I began working in the Cheetah Hunt Area of the park, and boy was I excited! It was, and still is, a true learning experience. I learned about all the ride’s safety systems, the extensive and sensitive maintenance it required on a daily basis, and even all the brand new technology that Intamin, the ride manufacturer, showcased on our ride; the use of repelling magnets as the main propulsion method.
