Halloween at Busch Gardens is one of my favorite times of the year -- and it has nothing to do with all the scary zombie hoards or the clowns with chainsaws roaming around the park. Rather it has to do with the fact that I get to put on my hot pink wig and become a nurse in the most fun show I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of.

Busch Gardens is well known for being family-friendly, but if you visit on select nights in late September and throughout October you will see a much darker side of the Gardens. Zombies, vampires and other horrifying characters come to life, as night falls and Howl-O-Scream rises.
The tale of HOS’ new haunted house, Nevermore, is one that borrows from the works of the late American poet and author, Edgar Allan Poe. Each room mirrors a different piece in Poe’s fictional saga. HOS Creative Director Scott Swenson recounts the gothic terror that’ll reel you deeper and deeper into the twisted nightmare, Nevermore.
