Burgers for Bunnies (from the Kitchen of the Animal Care Center)

Recently the team at the Animal Care Center has taken their skills in the kitchen to a whole new level!

A recent culinary trend for our creative Animal Care team has been using items normally found in our animals' diets (fruits and veggies) -- and presenting them in ways that would please the pickiest of palates. This is a unique form of enrichment for the animals, and it has been lots of fun for our team of animal care specialists and our guests.

Tucked into Walkabout Way is a special little aviary called the Kookaburra’s Nest.

I always liked watching the birds in the Kookaburra's Nest. There are so many different animals and behaviors to see. There was only one problem: I didn't know what the names of the species I saw were, which made it nearly impossible for me to learn more about them.
