How many of you have been able to experience all that we offer during Summer Nights? From all the excitement of “Let’s Get Loud”in the Marrakesh Theater, to the amazing night time thrills of some of the most exciting roller coasters anywhere. Something I have heard from a lot of guests as they exit the park is that Kinetix was the best part of the day. Kinetix is our award-winning show that is sure to take your breath away each and every night of Summer Nights at 9 PM.

So…Have you seen it yet? If you have, that is great news! Tell us and everyone else reading this how much fun you had watching it in the comment section below. If you still haven’t seen it, or just unable to come to the park, here is a quick preview of what you are missing.
Between all the special effects and the amazing talent on stage, you wouldn’t believe the amount of work that goes on just to get this show going. Weeks and weeks of practice and rehearsals are needed because it is not like the show comes out of a box and awards start coming in. Yes, it’s a little more complicated.

Let’s set the scene here. A few weeks before Summer Nights start and all is quiet. Gwazi Park is pretty much nothing but a stage, a few rows of seating and a control booth. The park is closed and the guests have all left for the night. But the park is not going to be quiet for long. The sun is gone and all the performers, musicians, dancers and technical people come to Gwazi Park energized and ready to bring on the night. Then, all of a sudden….LIGHTS! Lots of lights. Electricity is filling the area with life. After the team has their meetings and warm-up’s, it’s time to get busy.

They run through the show act by act making sure each scene is done up to par. And at Busch, that standards bar is really high. Through the nights they add more and more special effects to build up the show. And finally, the fireworks arrive and it is time to do a rehearsal for them too. How do you rehearse fireworks you say? Pretty much like every other act and person. It just so happens they are really bright, aerial performers. They run through the show and set the fireworks to go off when they are supposed to. And believe me, these little performers have presence. They were little fireballs from the start.

Everything leads to opening day and by then everyone is prepped and excited to get out on stage and give it their all. And believe me, every one you see on stage AND off stage loves what they do. Come see this amazing show for yourself every night with a 2012 Fun Card! Hurry, Summer Nights ends August 12!
