Bands, Brew & BBQ will kick off its second Sunday of rockin' music this weekend with the legendary Bret Michaels on Sunday, Feb. 19.
You may know Bret as the rockstar frontman of Poison. Beyond just music, he also took the reality television world by storm in the past few years on VH1’s "Rock of Love," the 2010 docu-series "Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It" and as the winning contestant on the third season of Donald Trump’s NBC hit, "Celebrity Apprentice."
Bret Michaels has a 25-year tenure with Poison. The band is still going strong, recording and filming together. The band has released eight studio albums, four live albums and charted 10 singles in the Top 40 on Billboard’s Hot 100, including the hit song, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." Michaels has also experienced great success with his solo career. His 2010 album, "Custom Built," rose to the top of Billboard’s Hard Rock list at #1 and his current Get Your Rock On Tour is selling out venues across the country.
This summer will be an exciting, yet busy one for Michaels. Not only does he plan to release his forthcoming solo album, but his very own line of pet products will soon debut on shelves of PetSmart stores nationwide. Michaels has partnered with PetSmart to launch his “Pets Rock” collection, a line of rock ‘n’ roll pet products that’ll take after Bret’s ‘rock on’ style. Although the specifics of the line have not yet been released, we’re imagining it will be filled with bandanas galore, sure enough to outfit your pets in ‘cool’ style.
