Hello! My name is Jenna Stock and I am the Media Relations Intern for the Contemporary Marketing Team (CMT) here at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I’m eager to jump on board this fall and get busy working on the various public relations initiatives of our premier theme park. This internship will give me the opportunity to learn and enhance my public relations skills through creating press materials, garnering media coverage, gaining in-park media relations experience, and assisting with the planning and coordination of the park’s special events. I also look forward to working cross-functionally with individuals in the different focus areas of the company’s marketing department – this will allow me to gain a better understanding of digital and consumer marketing, and marketing sales in a real-world setting.
In May 2011, I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Strategic Communication/Public Relations. Following graduation, I moved from my hometown of Minneapolis, Minn. to Tampa, Fla. in order to explore my interests, spark my curiosity, and pursue a professional career in a field that I love: public relations. I enjoy writing and am thrilled to be a part of the blog team here at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. I can’t wait to see what else this exciting internship has in store for me and will keep you updated every step of the way.
